This website is dedicated to the memory of Charles Julius Dunlop, who was president of the Companhia Ferro-Carril Carioca and my first friend in Brazil. Many of the photographs came from his collection. Most of the information in the photo captions is contained in my book, THE TRAMWAYS OF BRAZIL: A 130-YEAR SURVEY, whose text (in English) is now on line. I also have a special webpage about Rio's ALTO DA BOA VISTA line. For information (in Portuguese) about tramways in Brazil, please visit BONDES ELÉTRICOS NO BRASIL by Emídio Gardé. Also visit my other webpage about ELECTRIC TRANSPORT IN LATIN AMERICA. All material on these pages © Allen Morrison 1998-2098. If you have comments, criticism or suggestions, please e-mail me!
